Transverse turning is realised by NC head for transverse turning. Cooling of the cutting tool can be done externally or through the main spindle by the high pressure.
Moving of the workpiece on X and W axis is done by scrolling of machine table on Phillips slider.
Horizontal Boring Milling Machines of Platen Type
Horizontal boring milling machines which column is movable on X axis are used for milling treatment of working pieces which length is up to 16 m and height up to 3 m.
They can be used in combination with worktables that have working pieces on them, and/or with rotational or rotational-translatable tables. These machines have 3 controlled axis as well as two controlled axis for NC table or optionally three controlled axis for tool magazine (which can be placed on the column of the machine and it can store between 30 and 40 tools).
Main spindle is hard-nitrated. Machine precision is achieved by precise guidance of linear axis, where the guidance of X and Y axis is done by sliding of plastic on steel strips. For Z axis linear rolling guidance is provided.
Use of angular head which can be placed on machine manually, semi automatically or automatically, enables five-sided milling of workpiece. Transverse turning is realised by NC head for transverse turning. Cooling of cutting tools is done outside or through main spindle by a high pressure.
Horizontal Boring Milling Machines of Platen type with Frame Pinola and Main Spindle
Horizontal borring milling of Platen type of Platen type with frame pinola and main spindle have four controlled axis. They also have optionally 2 controlled axis for NC table, 2 controlled axis for NC milling head, or 3 controlled axis for tool magazine and tool changer which can be placed on the column of the machine and might have between 30,40 or 60 tool places.

Hydrostatic guidance of X, Y and Z axis and linear roller guidance of W axis is applied in machines BG PR 180, BG 200 and BG PR 225 PR. Use of angular heads enables one-sided and five-sided milling of workpiece. Transverse turning is realised by NC head for transverse turning. Cooling of the cutting tool can be done externally or through the main spindle, with the high pressure. These machines are usually used in combination with clamping worktables on which workpieces are set and/or with rotational or rotational-translatable tables.
